The CBA Women Lawyers Forum develops programs, plans and initiatives for women in the legal profession in Canada. The CBA has more than 15,000 women members nationally. We offer Women Lawyer Forums in every branch.

Our Work

Our Section allows women to network and access education, mentoring and information in the legal profession. Our activities include:

  • Liaising and sharing resources with other legal jurisdictions, women in the judiciary, other professions and organizations of professional women
  • Liaising with other Canadian Bar Association Conferences, Sections and Committees, particularly the CBA’s Equality Committee, on matters of mutual concern

Professional Development

We create and offer professional and personal development programs to help women enhance their opportunities. Our skills and knowledge-based programs are designed to develop business and professional confidence for women who work in private practice, public service, as in-house counsel or as community leaders.
