About the Initiatives
Lawyers in the CBA Immigration Law Section are spearheading an initiative to provide services, without charge, to individuals in relation to selected temporary public policies of IRCC. These services may include legal consultations and advice. The CBA and lawyers offering pro bono services cannot guarantee that you will have a pathway to temporary or permanent residence, based on your country of citizenship or your personal circumstances.
Please note that, if your inquiry does not concern one of the Section’s active pro bono initiatives, the Section will not be able to provide you with pro bono consultation services. We invite you to use CBA’s Find-a-Lawyer Tool if you are interested in engaging a Canadian lawyer for consultation on other matters.
Active Initiatives
Please note that some restrictions will apply. The services offered do not extend to other immigration applications, such as regarding those who are not affected by the selected temporary public policies listed above. Lawyers themselves will determine whether they would offer a free service, on a case-by-case basis. Clients should make their best efforts to fill out forms and prepare other documents on their own before seeking to consult one of the volunteer lawyers.
