WHEREAS young lawyers represent approximately 40% of CBA members;
WHEREAS a young lawyer on the Membership Committee could represent the interests and views of young lawyers;
WHEREAS a mandate of the Young Lawyers Conference is to promote the interests and welfare of young lawyers;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT article 8(7)(a) of the CBA Regulations be amended to insert “(ii) an executive member of the Young Lawyers Conference selected by the Young Lawyers Conference Executive”.
