The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) announced its roster of award winners for 2015.

Ottawa – University of Ottawa Law Professor Martha Jackman is the winner of the Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) 2015 Touchstone Award

Olivier D. Girardeau, a law student at the Université de Montréal, has been chosen by the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) as the 2014 winner of the Edward K. Rowan-Legg Award.

University of Toronto Law Professor Stephen Waddams is the recipient of the Canadian Bar Association’s 2015 Ramon John Hnatyshyn Award for Law which recognizes outstanding contribution to the law or legal scholarship in Canada.

Christian Whalen, Deputy Advocate and Senior Legal Counsel with the New Brunswick Office of the Child and Youth Advocate, is the recipient of the Canadian Bar Association’s 2015 John Tait Award of Excellence. The award is presented each year to a public law or office sector lawyer who has achieved the highest standards of professional conduct and competence and made significant contributions to social justice or community affairs, and who exemplifies preeminent public service.

William (Mick) Ryan, Q.C., of Stewart McKelvey in Halifax is the recipient of the Canadian Bar Association’s 2015 Louis St. Laurent Award of Excellence that recognizes distinguished or exceptional service to the objectives and goals of the Canadian Bar Association.
