The CBA National Judges Section is now accepting nominations for the positions of Secretary and up to 10 Members-at-Large for the term September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024. Nominations will be accepted until May 31, 2023.

Secretary

The Secretary is expected to attend meetings and conference calls and is responsible for preparing minutes in a timely manner. The Secretary sequentially occupies each office through to Past Chair, which involves a five-year commitment.

Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and Saskatchewan are well represented. Nominations from other parts of Canada are encouraged.

Members-at-Large

Member-at-large positions are open to Section members who wish to actively participate in the work of the Section. Members-at-large attend meetings and conference calls as they are able and provide input or take responsibility for various tasks as they arise. There are many opportunities to assist.

Nominations

Nominations must be received by May 31, 2023 and should include a brief statement of the nominee’s interest in getting involved with the Section. The criteria for nomination include participation and interest in the Section’s activities, including language, geographic representation and diversity from different levels of court.
