Ruben Perez

Ruben Perez is the current Section Chair. Ruben is completing his articling at the Toronto District School Board. Ruben is passionate about student advocacy and addressing the challenges facing law students and articling students. Ruben’s goal for this year is to create a stronger and more vibrant Section to ensure that students from all over Canada have a stronger voice through the CBA.

Marina Kwak

Marina Kwak is the Vice-Chair on the Executive. Marina is completing her articling, and she is looking forward to getting more involved and working on our initiatives.

Nancy Bediako

Nancy Bediako is the Secretary on the national Executive and the Chair for the Ontario Bar Association Student Section. Nancy would like to raise awareness about the inclusion of National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) students at the CBA as the NCA process is very isolating. Additionally, Nancy is interested in promoting mental health services and resources for law students.

Yana Konakh

Yana Konakh is the Past Chair of the Section. She is an associate at Boughton Law Corporation in Vancouver. Yana assists public and private companies with a wide range of corporate, commercial and transactional matters, including financings, public offerings, private placements, stock exchange listings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations.
