The Workers Compensation Board is currently seeking a Legal Counsel I to join our Legal Services team.
As Legal Counsel I, you will provide effective legal advice and support to the WCB, ensuring that the administration of the workers compensation system is conducted lawfully, in compliance with The Workers Compensation Act and other relevant legislation. Your responsibilities will include legal research, providing legal opinions, statutory and policy interpretation, and training staff and stakeholders on workers' compensation and other legal principles. You will also assist with managing litigation and drafting procurement materials.
