CBA Will, Estate and Trust Fundamentals for Estate Practitioners

This new and innovative program is an excellent opportunity for junior to intermediate trusts and estates specialists and general practitioners to solidify and expand on their knowledge in the area of wills, estates and trusts and to learn about new trends and developments and enhance practical skills.

A national faculty of senior trust and estate practitioners will lead lectures and workshops over a four day period. Lectures will cover the fundamental rules governing trusts, wills, capacity, estate administration, estate planning and estate litigation as well as address their tax aspects. Case study-based workshops will allow participants to work through the practical aspects of the lecture topics. The skills required to build and manage an estates practice will also be addressed. Materials will include a comprehensive paper for each lecture topic.

Lawyers practicing in the area of trusts and estate planning, estate litigation and tax in their first seven years of practice, as well as general practitioners, accountants, trust officers and aligned professionals seeking a background in trust and estate law issues and related topics.
