• Viscount Bennett Fellowship

  Recognizes best scholarly paper/article submitted to the Competition Law Section on a subject relating to Canadian competition law or policy.
  
  
• Edward K. Rowan-Legg Award

• Walter Owen Book Prize Award
  Recognizes excellent legal writing and rewards outstanding new contributions to Canadian legal literature.

Journalism

• The Justicia Award
  Recognizes excellence in journalism, for print and broadcast media.

Equality

• Touchstone Award
  Recognizes the promotion of equality in the legal profession, the judiciary, or the legal community in Canada.

Human Rights

• The Honourable Walter S. Tarnopolsky Award
  Recognizes a resident of Canada who has made an outstanding contribution to domestic or international human rights.

Public Sector Lawyers

• The John Tait Award of Excellence
  Recognizes a public sector lawyer or law office that has achieved the highest standards of professional conduct and competence and made significant contributions to social justice or community affairs.

Young Lawyers

• Young Lawyers' Pro Bono Award
  Recognizes outstanding pro bono legal services to the community by a young lawyer in Canada.

Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Conference (SOGIC) Awards
Recognize excellence within the Canadian legal profession in advancing the cause of equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and two-spirited (LGBT) people.

• SOGIC Ally
  Open to lawyers, professors, law students or retired judges who are not members of the LGBT communities.
• SOGIC Hero
  Open to lawyers, professors, law students or judges who are members of the LGBT communities.

Staff Achievement

• The Jack Innes Achievement Award
  Recognizes outstanding contribution to the CBA by a current staff member who has exhibited creativity, innovation, leadership and commitment.

Women

• Cecilia I. Johnstone Award
  Recognizes women who have achieved professional excellence in their field and influenced other women to pursue legal careers, supported other women in career advancement or opened doors for women lawyers in a variety of job settings that historically were closed to them.
