Federal Courts Bench and Bar Liaison

The Committee is seeking nominations for 3 members for a two-year term from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026.

The Federal Courts Bench and Bar Liaison Committee’s mandate is to provide a forum for members of the Bar, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal to discuss issues of concern relating to the operation of the Court.

Members of the Federal Courts Bench and Bar Liaison Committee bring the following qualifications:

  • Experience with federal legislation
  • Active appearance before the Federal Court or Federal Court of Appeal

NOMINATIONS

Nominations must be received by May 31, 2024. When filling positions, various factors will be taken into account, including language, geographic representation and diversity. We aim to have representation from the range of practice areas before the Federal Courts. Continuing Section members on the Committee are from Aboriginal Law, Administrative Law, Civil Litigation, Constitutional and Human Rights Law, French Speaking Common Law Members, Health Law, Intellectual Property, Labour and Employment Law, and Privacy and Access Law.
