In addition to the substantive Section meetings, the Young Lawyers hosts a social event on the second Thursday of every month called Social at Social 242. This provides an opportunity for young lawyers and articled students to mingle, build relationships and discuss issues that may be prevalent to the young lawyers in the Okanagan.

Many of the lawyers of the Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Young Lawyers South Section volunteer their time and expertise to provide legal services to individuals who are ineligible for Legal Aid but are of limited means and unable to afford legal services.
