Christopher Samuel, past Co-Chair of the CBA-Alberta Junior Lawyers’ Section, is a great example of someone who constantly gives back to both the legal and wider community. Christopher was called to the Alberta bar in 2011 and is employed as a federal prosecutor in Edmonton. Chris’ volunteer engagement with the Edmonton law community is extensive. He has been a Committee member of the Alberta Law Day Committee since 2010; a former volunteer actor with the Players de Novo, which raises money for Edmonton theatre; a founding member of the “Rock ‘n’ Robes” organizing committee, which is an annual lawyer’s battle of the bands that benefits YESS (Youth Empowerment and Support Services) (2013-present). He is also engaged in the wider Edmonton community, as current President of the Rapid Fire Theatre Board of Directors, and Founding member of GOBFest, Edmonton’s premier board game festival (2013-present).
