You are invited! Pay Equity in the Legal Profession Webinar

  • March 25, 2021

Please join us on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm Eastern for a FREE webinar on Pay Equity in the Legal Profession, moderated by Robyn Doolittle of the Globe and Mail, whose work on the “Power Gap” series has brought pay equity back to the front burner.

This webinar is open to all CBA members and will feature a panel of experts from Canada, the UK and the US. The webinar is part of a national research initiative of the Women Lawyers Forum designed to gather data about Canadian lawyers’ experiences, perceptions and potential solutions to the gender wage gap in legal workplaces.

Our panelists are:

  • Danielle Bisnar – Partner, Cavalluzzo LLP
  • Christina Blacklaws – Principal, Blacklaws Consulting; Past President of the Law Society of England and Wales
  • Karen Jensen – Canada’s Federal Pay Equity Commissioner
  • Destiny Peery – Principal Consultant, The Red Bee Group; Principal Investigator for the American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession

The webinar will be followed by invitation-only virtual focus group sessions. Stay tuned for the WLF’s report on pay equity, to be published later in 2021!
