New electronic submission of documents: You can now submit electronic documents for clearance certificate applications, international waiver applications, notifications of non-resident dispositions, and tax shelter number applications through the CRA’s secure portals, including My Account, My Business Account, and Represent a Client.

- tax shelter number applications
If you don’t have access to the CRA’s portals, during the mail restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be able to use the temporary email submission process to submit requests for clearance certificates, international waivers, and certificates of compliance. Tax shelter number applications can be submitted by fax to 902-432-6148.
