Volunteers Wanted!

  • February 25, 2021

The Section is getting busy and there are so many ways for you to get involved. The success of the Section comes from the dedication of our volunteers and Section members; we invite you to engage with us.

Volunteers Wanted!

Real Property Comparison Tables

Some say that real estate is a difficult area to deal with on a national scale, however, we find that we all do very similar work in real estate transactions but with a provincial/territorial flavour. A few years ago the Section developed comparison tables to provide information on how real estate issues and topics are managed across Canada, which can be useful to assist you with clients who are moving in or out of another province or to see our colleagues’ innovations or obstacles.

To assist with regular updates, we seek one or more volunteers from each province and territory to contribute content – typically answering approximately three questions monthly – about the local practice. Preferably, we are looking for a one-year commitment. Please get in touch!

Mortgage Instructions Toolkit

The Section also launched a Mortgage Instructions Toolkit in 2016 to lead the profession in meeting the demands of lenders and to equip them to revise those demands where necessary. We are planning to update and eventually add new chapters to this great resource. Your feedback is valuable to us – we invite you to provide us with comments or suggestions about this toolkit.

Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee brainstorms and creates activities to engage current Section members and attract new Section members. This committee’s goal is to bring value to Section members and build strong relationships among us.

Interested in joining? Email us and please consider sharing this information with your respective networks.
