Discussion Board and other opportunities to get involved

  • February 28, 2017

George VuicicDear members,

We are excited to announce that the CBA National Labour & Employment Law Section is now using an online platform available exclusively to Section members. The Section has access to a Discussion Board where members can share information and engage in timely conversations related to our practice. Take a moment to subscribe to the online forum! New to CBA Discussion Boards? Sign in using your last name and CBA membership number. Click the “subscribe” button on the top right to receive an email notification when there is a new post. This forum is only accessible to Section members, so rest assured posts will always be related to our area of practice.

We look forward to hearing from you.

George Vuicic,
Chair - CBA National Labour & Employment Law Section

Other opportunities to get involved:

  • Interested in law reform? Do you have a background in pay equity (equal pay for work of equal value)? If so, the CBA’s Pay Equity Working Group could use your help. The Working Group anticipates consultations with the federal government as it moves forward with its commitment to introduce proactive pay equity legislation by 2018. We are also considering strategies to advance pay equity within the legal profession, consistent with a resolution adopted by CBA Council in August 2016. The Working Group has volunteers from various Sections and Forums and if you would like to get involved, contact Tina Head for more information.

  • Want to publish an article under the banner Perspectives? Members interested in publishing articles (1,000 words or less) are encouraged to send them to the Section editor.
