I am excited and honoured to serve as the 2022/2023 Chair alongside my fellow members of the Executive. As Chair, I wish to welcome all Section members as well as anyone who is interested in international law.
This year my key goals for the Section are:
Continuity
- Build on our past achievements and successes, so that we can take on and successfully accomplish new goals for the Section
- Continue our dialogue with the federal government
- Continue our participation in the activities of the international legal community, including renewing and updating our existing cooperation agreements, and working towards obtaining consultative status with the United Nations
Engagement
- Engaging with Section members is a top priority and I would like to encourage the involvement of all our members, including young lawyers and students, in our Section’s activities
- Responding to the needs of our members through various initiatives and committees
Learning
- Organizing Brown Bag and Professional Development events on various topics, including Human Rights
