Child Rights Toolkit Survey input and more

  • September 03, 2020

It has been 30 years since Canada ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and 3 years since the CBA Child Rights Toolkit was launched online and viewed over 40,000 times.

The CBA’s Child Rights Toolkit was inspired by the need to improve children’s access to justice in Canada. It is for professionals working in legal and administrative decision-making who want to better understand and implement a child-rights based approach in practice and strengthen their advocacy for children.

The Child Rights Toolkit Steering Committee is surveying CBA members to get feedback on the Toolkit and learn more about how children affect other areas of law. The results will inform the updates to the Toolkit. We would like to kindly ask you to complete and return this survey. Your input will be key to the improvement of the Toolkit.

Furthermore, we encourage you to extend an invitation to colleagues involved in other CBA sections or who may be interested in child rights and the toolkit to participate in this survey.

Thank you in advance for taking time to complete the survey and passing it along to colleagues who may be interested.

Be safe and be well, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours,

Jessie Caryl and Gavin Kotze
Co-Chairs, CBA Child Rights Toolkit Steering Committee
