Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will assist clients with family members who have disabilities and/or special needs; to protect and provide for them once the parents are gone. Responsibilities will include drafting of Wills, Henson trusts, estate planning and administration, probate of Wills, power of attorney and Legal Guardianship.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Wills and estates law and procedures.
- Ability to be both a self-starter and team player.
- Excellent technical skills and an interest in continuous learning.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Preparedness to work in an office environment with a small team (not remotely from home).
- An affinity for helping families with special needs and disabilities and a readiness to serve them for decades is an advantage. We maintain a lifelong solicitor client relationship for the lifespans of the family members.
