Our team regularly represents clients at all levels of Canadian courts, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, the World Trade Organization and investor-state dispute settlement arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
Role and Responsibilities
As a lawyer at Tereposky & DeRose, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging litigation and regulatory matters that have both national and international implications. You will benefit from direct mentorship from senior lawyers, gaining invaluable insights and guidance as you advance your legal career. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
- Assisting in the preparation for hearings and arbitrations.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic advice.
Who You Are
The ideal candidates will possess:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision in legal research.
- Professional fluency in English, both written and oral.
- A call to the bar in Ontario with 1-6 years of experience.
- The ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative team player.
- A proactive, positive can-do attitude, with a focus on responsiveness and action.
