The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin To Receive the CBA President’s Award

OTTAWA – In recognition of her significant contribution to the legal profession, the Canadian Bar Association and her years of public service and commitment to making Canada a more just society, The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin will be presented with the CBA President’s Award at the President’s Dinner on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Ottawa. 

Florence Ashley, LL.M., Receives the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Community Section Hero Award

OTTAWA – In recognition of Florence Ashley’s commitment to advancing the cause of equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and two-spirited people with the Canadian legal profession, the Canadian Bar Association is awarding them the SOGIC – Hero Award.  The award will be presented to Florence Ashley at the CBA’s President’s Dinner on February 12, 2019 in Ottawa.

The Honourable Douglas R. Campbell Receives the Touchstone Award

Ray Adlington begins tenure as CBA President

Ray Adlington of Halifax, N.S., started his year-long tenure as President of the Canadian Bar Association on September 1st. Adlington takes over from outgoing president Kerry L. Simmons, Q.C., of Victoria, BC.
