Board elections – nominations open

  • March 05, 2019

You are invited to share your vision, shape the legal profession and make your mark at the CBA.

This year we are inviting nominations to fill Board positions in Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan. The nomination period opened March 4 and runs to April 1.

We’re recruiting board members who collectively reflect the diversity of the legal profession and the geography of Canada, as well as a mix of practice types, year of call, language, skills and experience.

The term of office on the CBA Board of Directors is two years, and terms are staggered to ensure continuity from year to year. Board members from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island and Yukon – as well as the incoming Vice President who is from Manitoba – will complete their terms in 2019- 2020. As a result, elections will not be held this year for a representative in these jurisdictions.
