IP Day 2016: May 12 in Ottawa

  • September 15, 2015

Summer’s not even over, but already the Intellectual Property Section is looking ahead to the 8th annual IP Day, next May in Ottawa.

Town Hall Meeting (morning) - The 8th annual forum on IP litigation reform, hosted by CBA, allows members of the bench and bar to engage in an open discussion of possible procedural reform in a “town hall” format.

PD Program (afternoon) - The IP Debates will feature several topics of interest to IP litigators. There will be two speakers on each topic who will debate the issues. Speakers will be primarily senior members of the IP litigation bar.

Judges Dinner (evening) - The evening pays tribute to retiring members of the Federal Courts and the intellectual property bar who have made significant contributions to intellectual property law in Canada. This is a unique opportunity for junior and senior members of the bar to meet and mingle socially with judges of the Federal Court of Appeal and Federal Court. Pictures of the 2015 gala event can be viewed on the CBA Flickr page.

Registration for the above events will open shortly.
