Special Committee on Imprisonment and Release

CARRIED

WHEREAS in 1986 The Canadian Bar Association struck the Special Committee on Imprisonment and Release;

AND WHEREAS the Committee has completed its report entitled Introduction, Overview and Summary of Recommendations of the Special Committee on Imprisonment and Release, and submitted it to Council at the 1988 Annual Meeting;

BE IT RESOLVED THAT The Canadian Bar Association approve the Recommendations relating to "Locking up Natives in Canada" found in Part II A of the aforementioned Report as set out in schedule A:
