CBA Nova Scotia is governed by a Council consisting of elected members representing four regions of Nova Scotia and elected members-at-large. Council meets three times a year, as well as at the Annual General Meeting of the Branch. Between meetings of Council, the Executive Committee has all the powers of Council, except the power to pass by-laws, and is responsible for advising and assisting the President.

The Nova Scotia Branch offers a variety of professional development opportunities. Through our Sections, we provide our members with an opportunity to meet and exchange thoughts with colleagues while offering the profession a means of keeping informed on the very latest developments in the law. In addition to Section activity, the Nova Scotia Branch holds a number of one-day conferences each year and an Annual Professional Development Conference.

Through our Committees we offer members further opportunities to become involved at both the Branch and National levels in such areas as Legislation and Law Reform and our annual Law Day initiative.
