CBA Report on Conflicts of Interest
The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Task Force on Conflicts of Interest makes 21 recommendations to help lawyers across the country who are facing potential conflicts of interest.

Secretary-Treasurer Position 2008-09
Elaine Keenan Bengts has been acclaimed to the position of Secretary Treasurer for 2008-09.

Membership Chair - Effective September 1, 2008
David Hastings will assume responsibility for membership as of September 1^st, 2008.  

Section Chairs
All Sections should now have held an organizational meeting and their Chairs confirmed for the coming.  We still require a chair for Environment.  

We are also looking for a member to coordinate the LPAC initiative in the NWT. If you are willing to let your name stand for this position, please advise the Executive Director.

Section Chairs will meet with the Section Coordinator for lunch on the 15th of September.

Women Lawyers Forum
An organizational meeting will be held in the near future.  Watch for details.
