The open house was held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on April 20, 2007 at the Port Coquitlam courthouse. This well-attended open house featured events that were similar to events held in New Westminster. A court orientation and tours were conducted along with Q&A sessions with a judge, crown counsel and a deputy sheriff. The mock trial received great interest, attracting more than 110 members of the public. Extra seating to accommodate the audience was necessary for this popular event despite it being held in the largest courtroom in the Port Coquitlam provincial courthouse. Refreshments were served throughout the day to members of the public and school groups.
Special thanks to Glenn McArthur for organizing Port Coquitlam Law Day events.
