ort St John's open house was held on April 18, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Fort St John courthouse. The most popular event at the Fort St John open house was a mock robbery trial with a judge, local area lawyers in the roles of crown counsel, defendant and defense counsel, and a police officer whom presented forensic evidence. The jury was selected from members of the public. The trial was followed by a Q&A session with the judge where members of the public had an opportunity to ask questions about the justice system. The open house featured several display booths from a variety of legal organizations and tours of an RCMP police cruiser. There were prize draws and refreshments served throughout the day.
