awson Creek's open house was held on April 19, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Dawson Creek courthouse. Law Day events focused on a mock murder trial that was conducted by students from the South Peace Secondary School’s Law 12 class. Students portrayed the roles of crown counsel, defendant and defense counsel. The jury was selected from members of the public. Other events included a court tour and information booths from a variety of justice organizations. Special thanks to Tanya Helton for organizing Dawson Creek Law Day events.
