aw Week is a national event held annually in April celebrating the signing of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Originated by the Canadian Bar Association and first held in Canada in 1983, Law Week provides an excellent opportunity for the profession to educate the public about the vital role that lawyers and the judiciary serve in guaranteeing an open, independent and unbiased judicial system.
Each year the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association invites members of the public to attend a variety of events that are held throughout British Columbia. We believe these province-wide events offer the public an opportunity to learn about the law and the judicial system.
In British Columbia, Law Week events were held in Fort St John, Kamloops, Nanaimo, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Vancouver and Victoria. Please consult the links below to learn more.
