Robin Sully

Project Director

As the CBA’s Director International Development, Ms. Sully has 12 years of experience developing and implementing legal-judicial reform projects in developing countries and countries in transition, complemented by a wide range of prior legal experience. Her experience includes:

  • development and management of international development projects (China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, Kenya; Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and the SADC Region with a total funding of over $ 17 million);
  • liaison with the Canadian government, foreign governments, international and foreign legal organizations;
  • facilitation and coordination of CBA’s membership, including lawyers, judges and academics and other resources required to support its international programming;
  • monitoring and evaluation of international programs and managing the staff team directly responsible for implementing individual projects.

Ms. Sully understands the importance of consulting broadly and engaging stakeholders in the reform process and, from the stakeholders perspective, of having a strategy for engagement, that includes solid research.
