Podcast: Getting Your Financial House in Order; "Single in the City"
YL-CBA and the Canadian Bar Insurance Association (CBIA) have teamed up to produce a new podcast which discusses the financial and insurance obligations of young lawyers. The 20 minute discussion is tailored to the needs of newly called lawyer “Jane” – a single woman with an income of $45,000 per year and $50,000 in student loans. Peter Harrison, an authorized representative for CBIA and CBAF in eastern Ontario, and John Waddell Q.C., director and vice president of the board of directors for the CBIA, provide practical pointers on Financial Planning for young lawyers in a situation similar to “Jane.”
