The PSLF offers you many opportunities to get involved with your colleagues and the Canadian Bar Association. Many PSLF branches are very active, holding regular brown bag lunches.
Things you can do include:
- attend a PSLF branch event- like a brown bag lunch (check out Events)
- contact your provincial PSLF representative to help plan activities in your area (check out Branch Representatives to find your provincial rep.)
- set up a branch in your region if there isn’t one active or the active branch is too far away to attend events (contact the PSLF Chair, Mark Berlin)
- volunteer to be a member of the National PSLF Executive (contact the PSLF Chair, Mark Berlin)
- help the PSLF organize a CLE at the CBA's Canadian Legal Conference & Expo (contact the PSLF Chair, Mark Berlin)
- write an article for The Forum, the bi-annual PSLF newsletter (contact the editor, Mark Berlin)
- nominate a public sector lawyer for the John Tait Award of Excellence (contact the PSLF Chair, Mark Berlin)
