Court Practice

Mandate

  1. To share common concerns for improving the quality of trial advocacy by developing skills, courses and programs in trial advocacy.
  2. To consider existing and suggested amendments to the Court Rules and procedures relating to industrial and intellectual property matters at both Federal and Provincial Court levels.
  3. To promote the study and interchange of information relating to court practice and trial advocacy in the area of industrial and intellectual property.
  4. To promote and develop the professional liaison between judiciary and the profession as it relates to court procedures.
  5. To meet regularly, by conference call or otherwise, and in particular at the CBA Legal Conference.
  6. To provide comment and advice to the Section Executive on court practice matters.
  7. To participate and assist in professional development projects.
