Apply to join a Committee or Subcommittee

As a legal professional, you look for ways to enhance your skills, serve your organization and give back to the profession. When you volunteer for a CBA Committee, you will:

  • Network with bar leaders from across Canada
  • Work on important CBA initiatives and activities
  • Hone your leadership, consensus building and communications skills
  • Increase your firm or organization’s visibility and influence on important emerging issues

The New CBA

By joining one of the new Board Committees, you can play an important role in providing strategic input and guiding the work of the CBA. Committees of the Board have been reorganized to better reflect organizational best practices and the new governance structure of the CBA. Changes have been made to streamline governance, coordinate policy activities, increase accountability to the Board, increase Board responsibility, and engage volunteers where they can make the most effective contribution and enjoy meaningful volunteer experience. By reducing the number of Committees, greater focus is being placed on CBA’s three strategic priorities: governance and equality, policy and finance.
