The CBA Aboriginal Law Section’s Executive is excited to welcome you to another year of membership in our Section. We represent practitioners in Aboriginal law and advocate on behalf of the CBA nationally on issues related to Aboriginal law and practice.

There are several ways to stay connected to the Section and get involved in our work, including joining one of our committees or contributing to our law reform efforts.
Law Reform
Advocate on behalf of your colleagues by joining our Law Reform Committee. This Committee directs the work of the Section in preparing submissions to Parliamentary and Senate committees, position papers, CBA resolutions and letters to Ministers and other agents of government on issues of importance to Aboriginal law and practice. Our most recent submissions include:

CBA Truth and Reconciliation Website
The CBA has launched a Truth and Reconciliation website, the result of work by some of our Section members on the CBA’s initiatives to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. Check it out for resources, information on CBA’s advocacy efforts, and events.
