The Canadian Bar Association is saddened by the passing of the Honourable Louis LeBel on June 8, 2023. He served the Canadian legal system well during his long career, which included serving on the Supreme Court of Canada for more than 14 years. A long-time member of the Canadian Bar Association, Justice LeBel was a highly respected judge, and was often described by his former colleagues as a distinguished and sharp-witted legal intellectual.
