Law Day 2008
Volunteer for Law Day in your community! (click here)
About Law Day Law Day was first held in Canada in April 1982, as a way to commemorate the signing of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Programs such as Law Day provide an excellent opportunity for the legal profession to inform the public about the importance of the rule of law in our society, and the vital role that lawyers and the judiciary serve in guaranteeing an open, independent, and unbiased judicial system. High school students across New Brunswick will conduct "Mock Trials", in which they act out the roles of Crown Attorney, defence lawyers, witnesses and the accused.
Law Day is made possible through the efforts of many lawyers who volunteer time to the event.
