Manitoba articling student recruitment guidelines

These guidelines contain the procedures for the recruitment of articling students. The guidelines were developed by representatives of the Manitoba Bar Association (MBA), The Law Society of Manitoba, the Manitoba Law Students' Association and the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law (Faculty of Law) and have been circulated and have been widely accepted in the Manitoba legal community. MBA Submission to Workers Compensation Board

MBA submission to Manitoba Government on Legal Aid amendments

An adequate legal aid plan is critical to many Manitobans' access to justice. The erosion of our Legal Aid system is, therefore, a serious concern for the Manitoba Bar Association. Bill 47, The Legal Aid Services Society Amendment Act, went to the Committee stage on 18 November 2004. As President of the Manitoba Bar Association, Veronica Jackson attended and offered remarks.
