he 2008 Kamloops Law Day open house was held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on April 23, 2008 at the Kamloops Courthouse at 455 Columbia Street. The theme for Law Day was “Access to Justice: Breaking Down Barriers.” Law Day events in Kamloops offered a variety of activities for the public, including a mock trial for the Big Bad Wolf, RCMP demonstrations, courthouse tours and a question and answer session with a judge.

On Saturday, April 19, 2008, the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association held its province-wide “Dial-A-Lawyer” as part of Law Week. Kamloops area residents were invited to call between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to speak with a lawyer for up to 15 minutes at no cost.
