Particularly strong in Aboriginal Rights and First Nations law; Asian Legal Studies; Feminist Legal Studies; Environmental Law; Mental Health Law; Natural Resources Law (with the Westwater Research Centre); International Trade Law; Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, including studies of the Canadian Charter of Rights; Labour Law; Taxation Law; International Protection of Human Rights; Law and Society; Competition Law; Comparative Law; Legal History; Conflict of Laws; and Family Law.

Admission Requirements:

LL.M.: LL.B. with at least 12 credits of First Class (A- or better) senior level coursework or a minimum overall average in the B+ (76%)

Doctorate: LL.M. in Law with a general average of at least B+ (76%).

Deadlines for admission:

Canadian and U S.: April 30
International: March 31

Early application strongly recommended.

Program Requirements:

LL.M.: Eighteen-month program. Total of 36 credits:

20 credits for thesis
4 credits for compulsory Graduate Seminar
12 credits in elective courses, seminars, workshops or directed research
No part-time offered.
