Social Events & ToursNetworking OpportunitiesThe Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre will be the setting for the Welcome Reception (Thursday, Feb. 21). Besides displaying its large mineral collection and finds from the Centre’s archeological research, the museum explores in depth the culture of the Dene Indians and traces the influence of the fur trade since the 18th century. Video and sound are incorporated into a variety of areas, including the Natural History and Aviation Galleries. Following the reception, your colleagues from Yellowknife invite you to a nightcap at the Top Knight Pub. Take advantage of the opportunity to participate in an At-Home Dinner (Friday, Feb. 22) and enjoy true Northern hospitality among colleagues and friends. For council members and their guests, included in the registration fees. The highlight of your visit to Yellowknife will no doubt be an evening at Aurora Village for the President’s Dinner (Saturday, Feb. 23) – a true Northern experience.
