Join your colleagues for Canada's premier competition law conference September 18-19, 2008 Hilton Lac Leamy, Gatineau, Quebec
The organizing committee for the 2008 Annual Fall Conference on Competition Law is led by Brian Facey. This year's conference will bring together leading experts from Canada and around the world to address issues arising from recent domestic and international developments in competition law that have profound implications for companies with operations in Canada, for Canadian businesses doing business abroad, for foreign investors, including sovereign wealth funds, and for companies trying to ensure day-to-day compliance with distribution, pricing, and advertising laws.
For the first time the conference will be interactive: attendees will have the opportunity to submit "e-questions" prior to the conference which will be addressed directly by panellists.
Program Agenda
Section CommitteesThe Competition Law Section is seeking participation in its Committees which focus on core areas of competition law.
The Committees are involved in preparing submissions to the Competition Bureau, the Minister of Industry and various parliamentary bodies on issues of current interest, proposing programs for our Annual Conference, organizing brown bag educational presentations, and liaising with foreign and antitrust bodies while providing Section members with opportunities to keep abreast of developments in competition law and to network with other members with similar interests through committee listservs. The Committees need the contribution of Section members to deliver their remarkable work.
We encourage you to join one or more Committee by sending an e-mail to Section Liaison Holly Doerkesen at hollyd@cba.org. Details on the Committees can be found on the site Activities page.
