Mandate

We examine:

  • Any matters of substantive law, not of a criminal nature, and not coming within the work of another Section;
     
  • the administration of civil justice in all the courts of Canada, with particular reference to the jurisdiction, procedure and organization of the courts; and
     
  • the practice of lawyers before the courts.
     
  • Section monitors implementation of CBA Systems of Civil Justice Task Force Recommendations.
