Fourth Annual Pan-Canadian Insolvency and Restructuring Conference

September 18-19, 2008
Four Seasons Hotel, Vancouver, BC

Please join us at the Four Seasons Hotel in beautiful Vancouver for the Fourth Annual CBA Fall Conference on Insolvency and Restructuring Law. The Pan-Canadian Conference has quickly become the leading national event of its kind. Speakers from across the country will present the year's top insolvency topics on both the national and local level. Come and spend the weekend in Vancouver and learn about:

  • The bankruptcy section's annual review of the latest developments in insolvency and restructuring law from coast to coast.
  • Forestry and mining: two industries going in different directions and the unique issues involved.
  • Procedural and substantive consolidation in corporate restructurings.
  • The continuing evolution of the court’s jurisdiction, or lack thereof, in Canadian insolvencies.
  • News from the personal insolvency world.
The conference will also provide an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with insolvency law practitioners and restructuring professionals from across the country. On September 18, Fasken Martineau will host an evening cocktail reception at their new Vancouver offices with panoramic views of ocean and mountains. The conference will also feature luncheon keynote speaker John Furlong, CEO of the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The event will be capped off with a post conference reception on September 19, generously sponsored by Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP.

Please register early. Based on last year's overwhelming response this year's conference is expected to sell out quickly.

Please note that the deadline to receive the conference rate for rooms booked at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver has been extended until Friday, August 22. Please contact the hotel directly at (604) 689-9333 or 1-800-268-6282 to make your reservation. In order to benefit from our convention rates please refer to the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Fourth Annual Pan-Canadian Insolvency and Restructuring Conference.
