Information Technology Committee

Mandate

  1. To monitor developments in computer and computer-related technology including software, firmware and hardware.
  2. To monitor case law and legislation relating to the aforementioned areas.
  3. To consider the following major areas of interest:
    1. software protection;  
    2. chip protection;
    3. hardware protection;
    4. technology development and transfer;
    5. enforcement of rights; and
    6. artificial intelligence.
  4. To consider and discuss the aforementioned matters to keep CBA members informed and to provide commentary and recommendations on proposed legislation and needed changes in the law.
  5. To meet regularly, by conference call or other-wise.
  6. To provide comment and advice to the Section Executive on computer and computer-related technology matters.
  7. To participate and assist in professioanl development projects.
