Information Technology Committee
Mandate
- To monitor developments in computer and computer-related technology including software, firmware and hardware.
- To monitor case law and legislation relating to the aforementioned areas.
- To consider the following major areas of interest:
- software protection;
- chip protection;
- hardware protection;
- technology development and transfer;
- enforcement of rights; and
- artificial intelligence.
- To consider and discuss the aforementioned matters to keep CBA members informed and to provide commentary and recommendations on proposed legislation and needed changes in the law.
- To meet regularly, by conference call or other-wise.
- To provide comment and advice to the Section Executive on computer and computer-related technology matters.
- To participate and assist in professioanl development projects.
