Resolutions to be presented at the 2013 Annual Meeting
CBA Council meets twice a year to discuss questions of policy and public interest as submitted through the Resolutions, Constitution and By-Laws Committee. The resulting resolutions passed at the CBA Annual and Mid-Winter meetings determine the association's position on current legal issues and governance of the CBA, and promote the CBA mandate as outlined in the CBA mission statement:
- improve the law;
- improve the administration of justice;
- improve and promote access to justice;
- promote equality in the legal profession and the justice system;
- improve and promote the knowledge, skills, ethical standards and well-being of members of the legal profession;
- represent the legal profession nationally and internationally;
- promote the interests of the members of the Canadian Bar Association.
