For 3 days in August, Dublin (Ireland) was the centre of Canada’s legal world.

Georgian doors in DublinWith the changes affecting the legal profession and world markets, the 2009 Canadian Legal Conference was a chance to learn, debate, and connect with leaders in law from Canada and Europe.

Attendees learned about international law and human rights from former Irish President, Mary Robinson. Visionary Leonard Brody discussed the patterns impacting the business of law.  Legal futurist Richard Susskind helped attendees recognize the trends that will transform the global practice of law with.

In and around Dublin’s cultural centre – Temple Bar – enjoy Georgian architecture, Gaelic tradition and an eclectic mix of history and innovation in one of Europe’s hottest cosmopolitan hubs.

Conference attendees were also be treated to events at landmark venues including:

  • Welcome reception at Mansion House, the home of the Lord Mayor of Dublin;
  • Opening ceremony at the National Concert Hall;
  • An exclusive performance of Riverdance at the Gaiety Theatre;
  • A dinner event at Dublin Castle;
  • And an evening of stout and fare at The Guinness Storehouse & Museum, the acclaimed brewer’s original brewery.
