Eugene McCague

Eugene McCague is chairman and senior partner of Arthur Cox, Ireland’s leading corporate law firm. Arthur Cox has over 90 partners, employs over 600 people, has offices in Dublin, London, Belfast and New York and is one of the largest law firms in Ireland. Eugene previously served as the firm’s Managing Partner.

Eugene McCague has over 25 years’ experience in dealing with all matters of corporate law, in particular corporate governance and corporate reorganisation. He has been involved in most of the high profile corporate restructuring in Ireland over the last number of years.

Eugene was President of Dublin Chamber of Commerce in 2006 (the first practising lawyer ever to hold this position) and is a government appointee on the Health Service Executive. He was previously Chairman of the Governing Body of Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland’s largest third level educational institution and serves on the board of Co-operation Ireland.

In 1994, Eugene published a biography of Arthur Cox, the founder of his firm.

He is married with three teenage children.
