VANCOUVER – The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) has announced its roster of award winners for 2012.

The CBA awards recognize legal scholarship, service to the Association, pro bono work, promotion of equality, and advancement of the cause of equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and two-spirited (LGBTT) people. TheJusticia Awards celebrate outstanding journalism that fosters public awareness and understanding of the Canadian justice system and the roles played by institutions and participants in the legal system.

The awards are being given out at the CBA 2012 Canadian Legal Conference in Vancouver from August 11-14. The event is open to accredited journalists who have registered with the CBA Media Centre. Please contact Hannah Bernsteinfor accreditation.
